Suddenly, AOL CDs - Thousands of Them!

So back in the day there used to be a site called NoMoreAOLCDs.com.  This site's goal was to collect one million AOL CDs and truck them back to AOL Headquarters.  About 5 years ago, a friend and I were enthusiastic about the concept, and went to work collecting AOL CDs.  We basically spent a weekend looting Office Depots, Post Offices, Kinkos, Home Depots, and other locations which carried the vile discs, and amassed quite a collection.

Flash forward to a year and a half ago.  AOL announced in 2007 that it was no longer sending out the massive numbers of spammy CDs -- so NOMoreAOLCDs shut down, their cause realized.  We did send them 2,800 CDs back in the day - 15th place out of all their contributors - of the whopping 410,000 they recieved.  However, that wasn't nearly all that we'd collected; we were always planning on sending the rest, but it kept getting put off and put off.

Present Day.  I estimate that I have approximately 5,500 AOL CDs in my room right now, boxed up.  Since their original cause is now completely gone, I am let to wonder what exactly I should do with them.  I'm open to suggestions - including ideas that would only use some of them.  I bet there are some pretty fun pranks that could be executed with some of these =)  What would YOU do with 5,000+ AOL CDs?

Someone showed me some wallpaper that is a bunch of CD cases, so you can put cds on your wallpaper. It'd take me like 240 segments of the stuff to fit all my CDs though, and that'd cost a couple thousand ;O

I have a few a string together in a pattern with some fishing line a long time ago that I'll keep on the wall probably, but I'm pretty sure being surrounded by aol and its shiny madness would be a net loss!

Not sure! But... you inadvertently brought my attention to the two amazing posts above yours. I smell a Rat. Well, the first 2 letters of that word are correct anyway.

We used to throw them at each other.  Like cool blades or something.  Then when they hit something other than flesh, they explode... it was fun.

Nice. We used to have disk wars outside with a bunch of old 5.25" floppies. It's amazing how hard those are to aim; we'd only get like 3 or 4 hits a piece after a long battle!
